SONR Music can be used to listen to any music you like, as well as podcasts and audiobooks you load onto the device in MP2, MP3, FLAC, and M4A formats. Upon request, we can also add support for WMA, AAC, WAV, APE, AIF, AIFC, and MP4.
While we don’t support Audible or other audiobook streaming services, you can convert your audiobooks to MP3 format and enjoy them on your SONR Music device.
SONR Music is an underwater player that features an ATM5 waterproof standard, which means it can be submerged up to 2 meters deep for 2 hours.
Yes! You can use it in different types of water, including chlorinated pools and open water (lake, sea, ocean). Which means salt water doesn’t affect the device at all.
Unlike standard earphones, the SONR Music device uses bone conduction technology, which means it transmits sound through vibrations directly to your inner ear bypassing the ear drums, allowing you to enjoy clear audio without the need for traditional in-ear headphones.

On Dry Land: SONR Music prioritizes comfort and usability. On dry land, its bone conduction may resemble that of a small speaker due to the different sound resonances in the air. However, you can adjust the volume via the SONR Music desktop app to suit your preferences.
The open-ear design allows you to hear your surroundings while listening to music during swimming sessions for safety reasons.
SONR is safe for both children and adults to use. The device uses bone conduction technology, delivering sound through vibrations in the skull. It doesn’t emit any waves or signals and it’s certified by CE, RoHS, and FCC, ensuring that it meets high standards of quality and safety.

SONR Music and SONR Coach may look alike, but they serve different purposes. SONR Music is designed for swimmers to listen to music, podcasts, or audiobooks. In contrast, SONR Coach is designed for coaches to communicate with their swimmers during training.
It's important to note that SONR Music cannot be used as a receiver, and SONR Coach cannot be used for listening to music.

Here are some general steps on how to use the SONR device:
1. Charge the Battery: Fully charge the device before use.
2. Enjoy Preloaded Songs: Your SONR comes with songs preloaded and ready to play.
3. Add Your Own Music:
• Connect the device to your computer and transfer music files to listen in MP3 mode.
• Or, use Bluetooth mode on dry land to play music directly from your phone.
4. Position the Device:
Place the device on your bones for optimal sound. Start with the back of your head or forehead and adjust as needed. Attach it securely using goggles or a swim cap.
5. Press Play and Swim! Hit play and enjoy your music while swimming.

The SONR device can be placed anywhere on the swimmer’s head—under a swim cap or attached to goggle straps with the included clip.
Its sleek, lightweight design ensures swimmers quickly adapt and stay fully focused on their training.
The SONR Music device provides up to 4 hours of battery life per charge. Keep in mind that battery consumption can vary depending on the type of music and volume—tracks with more instruments or higher volume may use more power. Adjusting your music style and volume can help optimize battery life.
To upload audio files to your SONR Music device, connect it to your computer using the included USB cable. A folder named “SONR Music” will appear - just drag and drop your files into it.
No extra app is required - only the USB cable and your computer.
The SONR Music device supports MP2, MP3, FLAC, and M4A formats. Upon request, we can also add support for WMA, AAC, WAV, APE, AIF, AIFC, and MP4.

SONR Music Bluetooth mode allows you to stream audio from a smartphone or other Bluetooth-enabled device.
However, please note that Bluetooth does not work underwater.
Unfortunately, Bluetooth devices, including SONR Music, use a 2.4GHz radio frequency that doesn’t work well in water. Due to the laws of physics, water molecules block the signal, limiting the range to just a few inches underwater.
On dry land, the device can stay connected to Bluetooth at a range of up to 50 meters.To enjoy music underwater, simply upload your favorite tracks from any computer via drag-and-drop and use MP3 mode.
However, we are working now on the streaming version to have the possibility to listen to your fav streaming platforms even underwater, so stay tuned!
Switching SONR Music to MP3 or Bluetooth mode is done by long pressing the button for 2 seconds and releasing it when the animation starts.
MP3 mode:
In MP3 mode, audio files are played in the order they were transferred to the player. The device starts playing the last listened track. After the playlist ends, SONR Music goes to the top of the list.
Bluetooth Mode:
After turning on Bluetooth mode SONR Music will start searching and pairing with an available device. Then you’ll see SONR Music on your phone in the Bluetooth section. Please choose it from the list to connect to your phone. Pairing with a new gadget is completed when the animation stops.
You can connect to platforms like Spotify, Amazon Music, Apple Music, and other streaming services by Bluetooth Mode.Unfortunately, offline streaming isn’t available. If you need assistance accessing your playlists on offline streaming platforms, our Support Team is happy to help at [email protected].
